Barstow Search and Rescue
Every October, kids get a free hat for attending a safety presentation by the local sheriff's search and rescue unit. Lots of other free giveaways: posters, stickers, etc. Raffle to benefit search and rescue. Usually the first or second Saturday in October of each year. 10-50% off pre-holiday sale on day of event, as well. Call for time/details.
